One of the very few versions of a Call of Duty game to disappoint.

When I first obtained this game, I was elated to finally have a Call of Duty game in my hands. I had never owned an Xbox 360, but I had played it somewhere else. I could never enjoy the original versions at home, and I hadn't found out about Modern Warfare for the Wii yet.

I bought the game and in great anticipation unwrapped and began playing it on the way back home. I was really looking forward to playing.

I was stunned.. the game has quite possibly the worst controls of a DS game I've ever played.

You aim with the stylus (that's not so bad), strafe with the Directional Pad (still reasonable), shoot with L and R (saw that coming), and A,B,X,Y.. strafe just like the D-pad. Seriously?

To make matters worse, the L button on my DS does not work anymore, so I would be forced to clumsily fire with the R button instead of with the L button where I would normally strafe with the D-pad.

Because A,B,X, and Y do nothing, you are forced to tap weapon switch outs and commands from the menu screen on the bottom. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but the fact that even aiming downsight is a tap-required function, I knew there was going to be trouble.

To make matters worse, the AI acts like half-zombie morons and some of the time can sit right in front of you and not shoot. Sounds good so far right? Then other times you'll have a grenade thrown at you and get this- there's no grenade throwback button; unlike every other COD game. Also, it's really painful trying to aim at enemies with the gritty graphics the DS is plagued with.

The graphics are about as expected, standard iffy Nintendo DS graphics, despite how flashy the make the game look on the back of the case. In the end the graphics are guaranteed to be the last thing you will worry about in this hazardous game.

Overall I give this game a 4/10 for general unplayability.
