Call of doodie 5.

There was really nothing new here to make me excited. Basically it's COD3 with some COD4 substance. The graphics are basically ho hum by todays standards. I would have to say COD4 is still more graphically superior in many aspects. Some of the lighting effects and character models are nice but nothing special really. You would think by this point they would have some swaying grass or trees but nope. You would swear it should considering how much a resource hog this game is. The game just does not run good on my PC for some reason were as every other games including Crysis, Oblivion, Fallout 3, and COD4 runs great. Maybe if they offered more fine tuning graphics options it would help. Some maps are really performance killers for no apparent reason also, probably due to this being a console port with poor optimization. Also the controls don't seem very tight and feel really floaty.
The whole overpowered tank thing in multiplayer is lame. The multiplayer in general has a sloppy laggy feel. It is pretty common to unload 3 shotgun blasts in the back of someone with no hit detection on a server with everyone with a 100 ping or less, although tactical servers seem to fare better were people aren't running around in a arcade style induced frenzy. Just seems to always be a 1-2 sec. delay. One look at killcam and you will know what I mean. It's so laggy that's probably why they don't have hit detection. Definitely a deal breaker. The dogs are a little less annoying than the helicopter in COD4 which is a good thing, but they are still cheap, especially with all the subtle lag. Artillery strikes are much more annoying than COD4 due to the fact they last forever and really slow down gameplay in a bad way. If you get stuck in a strike you will likely be froze for 10 seconds before you actually get killed. It's definitely a fun killer.
Pretty much all of the weapons sound and feel like underpowered BB guns. Half the problem I think is I'm finally sick of WW2. They should have tried a futuristic shooter with laser beams, jet packs, zombies, and put WW2 out to pasture for awhile. I didn't hate the game, but was disappointed in the lack of originality and fine tuning. The only bright spot in this game is the game mode zombies, but finding a game is a joke and frustrating due to the slow to update server information.
The question is, would I rather play WAW or have my $50+ dollars back. I choose the latter. If this game didn't use COD4 gimmicks, wasn't given away with most video cards on newegg, or didn't have the COD name I'm willing to bet WAW wouldn't have sold half as well as it did.
Time to put another 500+ hours into COD4 and wait for COD6. Even COD2 is more fun than this game.
