Its decent for a rental but after a while it just gets tedious and boring.

User Rating: 7 | Capcom Classics Collection Remixed PSP
Classics for some of these games is just too liberal a word. Some of these games are downright horrible and should not have been thrown in at all. Other than that, there are some great games in here like "varth" "stryder" and "final fight". Otherwise, most of the games are just variants of the typical vertical and horizontal shooter. While there are plenty of extras and one can have multiplayer very few games warrant this feature because of the tedious and repetition of the titles.

The controls work well but I miss the arcade feel of the joystick and playing these games on the PSP really signify that. This is not say that the controls are not responsive, they are, its just that playing these kind of games brings back nostalgia at the local arcade.

Most of the games can be completed in less than an hour due to the unlimited continues so dying does not really matter in most of the games. Another flaw is the fact that most of the extras can be unlocked in one sitting and trying to replay the game is a non-factor unless you have a favorite shooter. The fact that you can change whether one would want to view the game vertical or horizontal is hampered by the fact that the buttons are awkwardly placed. Otherwise, this compilation serves its purpose in throwing together various games together as mundane as it is. The main gripe is the lack of quality games in the collection and one does not really need to replay to unlock the extras nor would one want to most of the time.

Some of the games are fun but generally not worth the price of emission. One would still have to commend the multiplayer and the extras, but ultimately its the games that should stand out and not the extras.
