Mini Review: Best comulation out there today!
The Good:
Most of us can remember a time when we pumped quarters into Capcom arcade machines. You can't help but feel relieved that Capcom paid us back by releasing this compilation. To put it simply, this is the best compilation game out on the market today. Titles like Street Fighter II, Final Fight, 1942, Bionic Commando, Commando, and Gun Smoke are classics that alone, are well worth the $20 price tag. Most of these games were (and still are) quality games in their own right. What makes this collection so good isn't because Capcom managed to slap 22 games into one great package, but rather doing a great job porting the arcade-like experience into your Xbox or PS2.
The Bad:
Some would argue that the ports are not truly 100% authentic. There are some imperfect translations here like some minor sound effect changes, minor load screens, and controls but for the most part it doesn't get in the way of the experience. The average player that enjoyed these titles long ago will not notice any differences. Even if you do notice the little changes that do exist, it does not take you too far out of the experience of the originals.
The Bottom Line:
If you look at the list of these games and you recognize them as fav's of yours from the past, this is a must-own.
