CvS2 is extremely awesome DDAAwwGGg.

User Rating: 9.1 | Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO: Millionaire Fighting 2001 XBOX
Most will rejoice!!! Crapcom ditched the 4 button layout from CvS for a 6 button layout! YES. This game has a lot more depth than the first, and it's a lot fun and better in almost every way!!! Yes, this is a mostly KOF versus SF, but if you do not like that, too bad. This game is just plain awesome, and the best version yet. CvS2 has a ratio system in which you can pick a team of up to three characters and have different ratios on them. The game isn't tag team, which is a bummer (MotM had tagteam...tag team of some sort would have been cool.), but you can switch the order that your selected characters will fight in. The game also has 6 grooves to choose from. Three from Capcom, and three from SNK. They are supposed to emulate the feel of the fighting systems from their other games, but the grooves aren't as balanced as they should be (S-groove sucks really bad, especially in non-Eo versions... K is better than P in pretty much every single way.). They are definately cool though. You can unlock a groove edit thing, which is fun. The character balance problem is bad, but obviously not near as bad as MvC2. The top tier slightly bothers me, but you can live with it, but it just makes you wish that Capcom didn't take longer to balance. If you are good enough, you can parry and just defend anything (Parrying is VERY hard to master.) so if you have skill in those, then you can definately make up for it. If you actually start playing this game and trying to understand everything like the characters moves and what they do, you should never lose (maybe a few times if you are against top tier, or if you use bottom tier characters.). The game has enough depth that it really shouldn't be a problem. Also, Eo versions of CvS2 took out infinites and did a little more balancing. Without RCs though, this just isn't the real game.... It's still mostly "better"... with the exception of the addition of Eo-ism....yuck. The characters are mostly SF and KOF, but there are some SS and DS characters and a few others from other games. At first I thought "Well, where's Strider with super ultra combos?!?!?!" but then I realized that just isn't this game, that's MvC. I think that would ruin this game now unless they really did something to him. The characters are all pretty cool. Some of the Capcom characters have been redrawn, and all of the SNK characters, and they all look good. You can make them look better and color edit them and rename them!!! One thing that's really bad about this game is the music... for the most part, it's horrible... (there might be some freak out there that likes the music..) the sound in the game besides that is actually pretty good. The backgrounds are like the music - terrible . I hate the backgrounds.... there might be 2-3 okay ones. Oh man! I almost forgot to talk about Eo-ism!!! Eo-ism was first on the GC as "GC-ism" and is kind of cool with the pressure sensitive buttons, but besides that, it's not!!! You can do specials and super combos by pressing a direction on the right stick (C-stick on GC... it still fells like it's made for the GC, but that's not a good thing.)!!! you can even activate everything by pressing the buttons above... and guess what?!?!?! you auto guard!!!! Absolutely no skill required!!! this would be kind of cool if you had to activate CC and roll and had super combos harder to do and made you super jump on purpose and actually guard all that, but even still it's still extremely scrubby!!! Worst. Idea. Ever. What were you thinking Crapcom? Worst thing since MvC2's music. So yeah, besides Eo-ism, this game is really good. Best 2D fighter ever!!!!!! better balance, a better announcer, better music would have made this game better, but it's stil superb how it is. I actually have the GC version of this, but the Xbox version has more options, plus can play other people on Xbox Live too (which I do not have). Hooray (sp?)!!!!
