This is hands down the best 2-D fighter on the market. The graphics do justice to both franchises, the signature moves are there, and there are enough characters to choose from to keep playing for hours at a time.
There are multiple modes and special combo styles. I don't really care about all the different styles, but I realize they are very important to many gamers.
2-D fighters were the first games I got hooked on at arcades growing up, so I have remained a lifelong fan. Anyone who enjoys those style games must pick up a copy of this game. Even if you're unsure about 2-D fighters, at least give it a rental.

  If you're a fan of 2D fighting games, then this game is definately for you. You'll be button mashing for hours and hours
