A game that should be reserved in the annals of history fighting history...
There's so much to do in this game. First, I'll discuss the only bad part, the story. It's a fighting game so the strory isn't going to be awesome like an RPG(Role-Playing Game), so here goes.
This game is about a huge cast of characters fighting to become the greatest team of fighters on earth. It also has to do with
Akuma and Rugal's Rivalriy. I would dare no spoil it,.
Now, onto the music. The music is Jazz, rock,and a small bit of soul.
It may sound like recipe for disaster, but this music is quite awesome. It's catchy and will definatly get stuck in the heads of hardcore
fighting gamers. It got stuck in my head for sure.
Now onto the meat... the gameplay. The game's main sytem is the groove system.Grooves are used for your super attacks,mechanics,
and how you work your character. This is an excllent idea, and two people choosing a different groove always results in exciting battles.
The mechanics in this game are so slam-dunk awesome, that tournaments are held every month(even to this day, the game is 4 years old)
so that people can compete to see who is the master of this,er, masterpiece.
The game has 40+ characters, each with their own moves, combos, and secrets to discover.The game's graphics fit well with the action at hand.
Also, there are limitless combos to learn, preform and(best of all)
share. You can even save awesome fights that can be watched an infinite amount of times. This makes for great combo video oppritunities, home movies, and Reference videoes. You can even Edit the colors of the
fighters, edit grooves, and there's a secret cheat system that must be unlocked by beating the also unlockable boss mode.
The only beef I have are that the bosses in this game so cheap, many a controller has been broken by many a mad gamer.
Other than that, The game is perfectly balanced, and anyone can be defeated by anyone.
