To this day I haven't, and probably never will, unlocked everything in this game. Wow.
All the world's best fighters from the worlds of Capcom and SNK gather for a huge tag-team tourney. The actual storyline has little to it 'sides the usual boss jabber and ending cut-scenes.
Game play: 8/10
I grew up playing Street Fighter, and this seemed to be an obvious buy. I wasn't disappointed. It's like all the old Street Fighters, but with better graphics and sound and a whole new world of characters, as I had never played Fatal Fury or King of Fighters before. Difficulty is my only complaint, but that never stops me from playing
Multi-player/Play-back: 8/10
With a huge character selection and a large moveset for each character, multi-player will be a blast for a long time. There's always more strategies out there, so a seemingly unbeatable opponent might be easily beat with one level 4 character, or 4 level one character, or 2 level 2 characters. There's always something new to try
Secrets/Unlockables: 9/10 (Possible Spoilers)
Secrets: Beating the game without losing could be a pain, but it might just be worth it to see Major Bison meet his doom at Akuma's hand. Another cool cameo is made by Dan from the SF series: He wins the championship cup with Joe as a teammate.
Unlockables: Lots. And lots. And lots. You are always unlocking new characters, stages and color palettes. My only gripe: getting enough points to buy an Evil Ryu takes forever.
Graphics: 6/10
Pretty much the same old mediocre graphics fans of the series are used to. Nothing notably flashy. Not even the animated cut-scenes.
Sound: 7/10
Pretty good announcing, though the monotone robotic voice can get a little annoying sometimes. The character sounds are just as you left them. "HADOUKEN!"
Cons:
The difficulty may outrage you, and you may try to use a Shoryuken on the next person to enter the room. And again, the amount of points to buy a new character can be absolutely ridiculous.
Total: 8/10
My advice: If you're in the market for a rock-solid, Hadouken-dealing fighting game, this'll be one you don't want to overlook.
