Captain America is defnitely one of the best movie based games out there.
First off, I have to say the combat in this game is *so* much fun. To me, there is nothing more satisfying then busting a Natzi's jaw with a punch, and bashing him in the head a few times with Cap's shield. The fighting style is almost exactly like that in Batman: AA. Only, I think it is done much better in Captain America. There are also special moves you can preform by filling up a combat gage, and preforming dodges, critical attacks, and acrobatics. Once the gage is full, it allows you to make a certain number of cinematic instant kills. I also thought these were very enjoyable.
There are also a total of nine upgrades you can buy for Cap in the game. Three for you're shield, three for speed, and three for strength. All are fairly easy to unlock, though you do have to work for them. There is a Hero points system, but instead of leveling up once you've a certain amount of points, you can spend them on the desired upgrade.
The story is good. It's a tie-in to a certain plot in the film, and I thought it was very clever. The voice acting is great, I love the fact that Chris Evans still voices Captain America in the game. It just makes the experience that much more enjoyable. The graphics are also nice, it's not the best I've seen but still nothing to complain about.
If you loved the Captain America film, you would love the game. And if you haven't seen the film, or played the game yet, think about it. You won't regret it.
Thank you for reading!
