No, i'm not kidding... I like a Color Dreams game

User Rating: 8.5 | Captain Comic: The Adventure NES
As I walked in a game store in NY, I told the guy that I was searching for unlicensed games. He showed me a shelf full of NES games, and so I looked at the games. There were a few unlicensed games (mostly Road Runners and Quattro Sports), but a baby blue one caught my eye. Yep... Captain Comic by Color Dreams.
A week later, I got back home from NY, so I immediately popped the game in the NES.
As I turned it on, I saw a decent title screen (at least for a Color dreams game... *cough*Raid2020*cough*) As soon as I pressed the start button, I saw a surprisingly decent platformer. And a non linear one, sort of like Super Mario Bros. meets Metroid. Sure there first were some flaws, but they disappeared when I got a certain item.

Sound 5/10
Some of the songs are decent 8-bit rendition of classical music (such as Flight of the Bumblebee, Rondo alla Turca or Military march. I was a bit disappointed in the cave level though, because of its awful rendition of another famous piece of classical music (i don't remember)

Graphics 9/10
I honestly think the graphics are nice and colorful, especially for a Color dreams game. Some of the enemies have a bizarre look, but for an unlicensed Color Dreams game, they do the job well.

Gameplay 8/10
Pretty straightforward. My only complaints are that you start off with no gun, but you acquire one later in the first level. the second complaint I have is that you can't shoot the enemies that are on the ground. Yep... no ducking. Thanks God you acquire a "corkscrew" that makes you able to fire downwards later in the game

Fun 10/10
I really enjoyed the game. Whenever I got a "Game Over", I came back later for more (I actually finished it).

Overall : 8,5/10
All things considered, if you are an unlicensed game collector (like me), go get this game. If you're not much into unlicensed gaming, you should rent it first to see if you like it. Otherwise, just go get it
