Perfect game to play with friends for the afternoon
The game features playable knights who are on a quest to save the princess. You will travel through many different and interesting settings that are each populated by their own type of enemies (and some very unique bosses). As you progress your character will level up and you can decide which of your four skills to level up: Strength (increases melee attack damage), magic (increases mana pool and mana regen and upgrades your spells every few levels), speed (increases your damage with a bow, run speed, and firing speed of the bow), and defense (increases health and armor). Most characters have their own type of magic (some of the unlocked characters have the same magic). As you go through levels you will unlock new weapons which increase your stats as well. There are also pets which provide different bonuses such as quicker movement speed through water or increased magical ability.
The actual game play is quite fun. The controls are simple which provides easy playing. The game however is not easy. There are many places in the game where you and your friends will have to employ some strategy in order to take down a boss or beat a certain pack of enemies. This prevents you from flying through the game too quickly. The game itself is fairly short only taking about 4-5 hours to beat but the amount of replay value and awesomeness of the actual levels more than make up for this.
Overall this is one of my favorite games on the Xbox Live Arcade. If you have not played this yet, buy it and invite over some friends and spend a night beating this game. It is well worth it.
