Pleasantly Suprised

I got this game out of sheer boredome. (I needed a change from all the FPS blasting I have been doing) I decided "I liked old school castlevania on nintendo and love good RPG's maybe this will be a nice blend. Oh how I was right. This game is purely addictive! I love the new devil forging aspect and the weapon creating aspects! It makes for some really nice game dynamics. Can we say re-playability? OH YEAH! There is also a nifty steal aspect incorporated into the game where you have to lock onto a target then attempt to steal from it at just the right moment to try to get some items that can be only attained by stealing (Mostly items for weapon forging) The only bad thing I have to say about this game is that the auto targeting/Target lock system can be a bit confusing at times but not too bad. If you like RPG's and like castelvania I highly suggest checking this game out. But be prepaired to spend hours upon hours building up your character and creating multiple generation devils. Some may find that aspect to be a bit redundant but I love it. Making Multiple generation devils allows you to make your devils considerably stronger each generation. How it works is you get whats called an "Innocent Devil" and then build it up however you like. For instance, You start with a magma type battle "Innocent devil" and if you use a certain weapon to kill foes while your "Innocent Devil" collects crystals dropped by those foes it will evolve into another type of creature according to the weapon used/crystals collected. Lets say it evolves into a golem next that creatures stats will gain hearts (Life) faster for each level it gains (Experience levels not crystals) After awhile the Innocent devil" will "Lay an Egg" Call a devil shard and you can then start over from scratch but the new generation "Innocent Devil" Which would be a 2nd generation at this point will have increased stat bonuses according to the previous ones build. It may sound a bit confusing but it's easy to figure out and in my oppinion an excellent aspect of the game. It allows you to really tweak your "Inocent Devils" to the way you want them and the end result can be an exremely powerful ally if done correctly. Also it's alot of fun to see what you can make.
In conclusion I Highly recommend this game. I have been playing it for 4 a week straight and am still addicted! I could have most certainly beat the game by now but I am having so much fun searching for new materials to make new weapons and building up my "Innocent Devils" I don't really WANT to beat the game yet. Also to add to the re-playability once the game is beaten you can play it again in a new "Extreme Mode" and if beaten the 1st time with ALL the Bosses defeated (Including the hidden one(s)) you get what is called Boss Rush mode where you can just warp to the bosses and fight them, which makes it nice for trying to steal some extremely rare items to forge some super killer weapons. Like I said before this game is extremely addictive so get off you hiney and go check it out!
