Being a Castlevania fan since the very first one on the NES, I have really been waiting impatiently for this game. Especially around Halloween, it's great to have a Castlevania title to play with. This game does not disappoint. The graphics and sound are about the best I have ever seen or heard on the PS2, especially, the music is exceptional. Although I liked the Castlevania 64 to a certain extent, I think this game is such an improvement over the N64 game. The bosses in this game are exceptionally good looking. It is true that the RPG elements have been left out, but the pure hack and slash action in this game compensate for it. This game is a wonderful first Castlevania for the PS2, and I hope Konami will have many more to come.
