Not bad...not great, but not bad....

I have always loved the Castlevania series. Just the story, the music, the control....it was a near perfect engine when it began to roll down the tracks. This game was the first version to hit the PS2 in 3D (I also consider it the first 3D version of the series, as the N64 versions were an abomination to nature and a blasphemous act against the heavenly Father), and it was really good....for a while.

The graphics were great, and the gameplay was on point. THe music is of course, Castlevania's strong point, and always has been. There is nothing actually wrong with the game...it just didn't hold my interest. I became bored with it rather quickly. However, to be fair, I got this around the same time as my hard drive and my HD Loader, so I had a LOT of games to play.

Give it a whirl. It is a fun game, and maybe you'll get more out of it than I did.
