I always liked the Castlevania series.This one is a really nice transition of the 2-D gameplay to the 3-D one.

To begin with, I must say that the Castlevania series is not for every gamer to enjoy. Some would say it is plain boring,repetitive,tiring and stuff like that.Although,anyone who has experienced gaming from its early years,when it wasn't even 3-Dimentional, would agree that few games succeded in tranferring the addictive,classic,and most importantly, fun character of 2-D gaming in 3-D,without introducing a brand new genre of gaming,based on their graphics and realistic feel.

But this is off-topic. To the game now. Even though it mostly consists of running around,killing classic-zombie-monster-type enemies with a variety of weapons,finding keys and secret passageways through riddle-type hints,it has that little something every castlevania in the series had that sucks you in. Personally, i was really intrigued by the various combinations of weapons and orbs, and ended up challenging myself to use every weapon i found with my new orb,until i found another one. Graphics aren't much,neither is the storyline, but I cannot imagine how the could have.The whole feel of the game would change (ok it could have used some better grahics).

I would really reccomend it to any old-fashioned gamer,if she/he already hasn't played through it.
