The best 3D Castlevania game as far as 3D goes!
User Rating: 8.5 | Castlevania PS2
Although Lament of Innocence seemed like a failed attempt just by looking at it before the game was released, it is nowhere close to a failure. Most Castlevania games are side-scrollers, and Symphony of the Night was THE best, but that doesn't mean this installlment will fail, and it didn't. We still got the sub-weapons, relics, traditional Castlevania gameplay, and it's beloved music. To be able to dodge your opponents by means of acrobatic moves is pretty cool, and the origins of the Vampire Killer keep the feel of Castlevania alive!
Although the story may have been changed a bit from the previous titles, it's still the Castlevania we know and love. It may be shorter and lacks the "Vampire Killer" soundtrack during gameplay, but it more than makes up for that with its story and beautiful music. Now, if Konami made a new 3D Castlevania that played just like this with Alucard as the lead character, I would definitely check it out!
