I dunno why i thought i'd like castlevania just cause it went to 3-d. i dont. its not any better than 2-d. curses.

So i wasn't a fan of the castlevania games when they were 2-d. i dunno what posessed me to believe that adding a 3rd dimension with the same gameplay was going to change my opinion...cause it didn't. in fact now it's actually less interesting to me. cause one of the things 3-d added was....................wait for it................Backtracking! oh goody!!

i spent ten hours slogging thru the same rooms in this game and i must admit the title is apt. i do indeed lament my innocence...the very innocence that decided to give this waste of time a chance.

it's not that LoI is a bad game, it's just not a good game. it's pretty, it controls well, and i'm sure the castlevania fans will like it, but if you're not already a fan nothing here will change your mind on the series.

if you are a fan, just keep in mind, this is not the castlevania you remember.
