What a let down for Castlevania fans. Whilst the series was inspirational to me, this game was just annoying.

The Castlevania games in my mind are a unique and beautiful series. Traditionally the series are comprised of RPG based platformers with intriguing plots and staggeringly brilliant gameplay. Although the great leap accross that this rendition makes is clearly of detriment to the series.

Thats not to say that the game itself is without merits. Clearly an very good job in terms of the graphics and fluidity of play, along with the sound track and general eerie feel. The game managed to feel like casltevania which was a good thing to see.

However, the main element (in my opinion) in the castlevania series is the RPG aspect. This game resonates no familiarity with that tradition as its pitiful attempt involving the RPG side of the game falls short of what any castlevania fan would expect.

All this aside, the game is abhorrently short... Disgraceful.

Weaponry and upgrades are too sparse... Let down.

The ending........ oh the ending.... You finish the game and literally feel like you've played a demo because it leaves you with nothing.

It does however show you how the whole series originates though, which is great... Still pitiful though.
