A really really good game. Lament of Innocence i felt was stronger
1) The character Belmont killing Dracula (classic)
2) The magic whip (sorry to people who think this copied God of War, the magic whip was around since the NES)
3) Times in the game it feels like a sidescroll platformer. Yes I know they captured this soooo beautifully.
4) A story line that keeps the roots of castlevania while branching to make each game unique in the castlevania series.
5) An amazing soundtrack
Unfortunatly for the game, they took out elements that make it feel less like a castlevania game and more like a typical hack n slash game.
1) RPG elements add in Symphony of the night.... why they took this out is beyound me. Instead they had a combo upgrade system with points thats gathered in the story mode.
2) The free roming aspect is gone with the chapter system introducted in this castlevania game
This game has ups and has downs. I cant say I enjoyed this game anymore then I enjoyed any other castlevania game, because that would be a lie. but to say this game is just an other game is not giving this game enough credit. The game is beautiful and has the same feeling as Lamment of Innocence, except not as good..... and defiantly should not be missed
