A really really good game. Lament of Innocence i felt was stronger

Castlevania Lords of Shadow is one of the greatest games I have played in a while. The boss battles are epic and large scale in some ways like shadow of the colossus, and it has unique puzzles, platforming elements and a beautiful world that makes the game great. The game is defiantly one that is good for a Castlevania fan or for someone who wants to start off. The game first off borrows from many games that have previously been successful ex: God of War and Shadow of the Colossus. Actually is a person very to fuse the two games together that would have something exactly like this. Which is not a bad thing, because it didnt suck like Dante's Inferno which is a plus. A game would have to fall really low to suck that badly. But with Lords of Shadow there are key things that seperates this game from any other game which what makes this a castlevania game.

1) The character Belmont killing Dracula (classic)
2) The magic whip (sorry to people who think this copied God of War, the magic whip was around since the NES)
3) Times in the game it feels like a sidescroll platformer. Yes I know they captured this soooo beautifully.
4) A story line that keeps the roots of castlevania while branching to make each game unique in the castlevania series.
5) An amazing soundtrack

Unfortunatly for the game, they took out elements that make it feel less like a castlevania game and more like a typical hack n slash game.
1) RPG elements add in Symphony of the night.... why they took this out is beyound me. Instead they had a combo upgrade system with points thats gathered in the story mode.
2) The free roming aspect is gone with the chapter system introducted in this castlevania game

This game has ups and has downs. I cant say I enjoyed this game anymore then I enjoyed any other castlevania game, because that would be a lie. but to say this game is just an other game is not giving this game enough credit. The game is beautiful and has the same feeling as Lamment of Innocence, except not as good..... and defiantly should not be missed
