With Street Fighter style moves and rpg style charactaristics, Castlevania:SotN Is simply the most innovative 2d side scroller every made. Lets remeber what came before this. Simple hack and slash, jump here, watch that pitfall.This was the first castlevania game to incorporate leveling up. The amount of items you have and can stock. You werent just stuck with a whip, or unlimited amount of throwing spears (ghouls n ghost). He were able to switch weapons and sheald, and depending on which one you have equip, you're able to unleash a devastating magic attack. Lets not forget about the 3 forms you can morph into, the street figheter style moves, and the challenging gamplay and you have your self one of the best if not the best 2d side scroller ever made.
