Sometimes it just doesn't live up

User Rating: 4 | Castlevania: Symphony of the Night X360

Audio:
The sound track is totally fine but the voice over work is so bad (but in a good way). It's so wooden and sounds as if it was just read off a script without the slightest hint of emotion.

Visuals:
You do notice some small technical issues when porting a game a decade after it's original release but the game still looks good.

Game Play:
Boring and repetitive. Your typical 2D platformer game.

Other:
The moment you die, You are reverted to your last save so if you don't find a save point and save often, You could knocked back quite a bit. Annoyingly difficult game because there's no skill involved, It's all luck so you could beat a boss on the first try or you could be stuck on him for hours. There's some replay value but not many are gonna sit through a second or even a third play through unless you are a die hard addict of the franchise. Not worth the high price tag either, This is a $5 game at most.

Overall: 4/10
Some games just don't live up after all these years and I think this is one of those games. It just doesn't sit well with me. It's annoying difficult for the sake of being annoyingly difficult and it can be quite boring at times as well.
