You, the Vampire ‘Alucard’, have awakened for the return of Dracula, to defeat him to end your own pain. Dracula only appears with his castle every 500 years.
C:SotN is a 2D RPG-platform game. All of the RPG elements combine with a great platform game. Explore more and more of Dracula’s castle, finding new weapons, items, and defeating new enemies. Maria pops in once in a while to ask if you’ve seen Richter Belmont.
I didn’t get into this series really hardcore until this one. I’ve played (and liked) the NES versions (Bloodlines) in their time and thought they were fun. This was the next real Castlevania game out. Ended up liking it a lot!

- Without the strategy guide, I would have missed 50% of the game! There is actually 200% possible.
