A classic. Possibly the best Castlevania ever produced.

Oh, how I love Castlevania. There's nothing quite like the dark, gothic setting, battling ghouls, vampires, and a myriad of corny characters. I originally played this game on the Playstation, and when I found it ported to the Xbox 360 I was extremely excited! Upon downloading this game I played it very frequently and subsequently beat it in a relatively short manner.

This game is, in essence, a complete clone of the original, which adds to its historic flavor. You play as Alucard, Dracula's Son, who goes in search of his father trying to stop him from his evil crimes against humanity. The game starts off fairly challenging, but is easily exploitable to a point where the game is no longer difficult (Shield Rod + Alucard's Shield). Despite the sharp ramp down in skill level needed to complete the game, it still holds it's own appeal for those who enjoy running back and forth trying to collect every item in the game. Alot of the items are neat to play with, even if they're not as effective as some of the other equipment you've been using prior.

Being that this game is over ten years old it's bound not to attract people of the newer game generation, but if you enjoy Castlevania or old school side scrolling action, this is by far one of the best titles ever released.
