An all in one but kick a thon

User Rating: 8 | Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles PSP
I bought this game so I could unlock the original Rondo of Blood, and so that I could have easy access to my favorite all time game SOTN. As I started the adventure playing the remade version of Rondo it really started tog row on me. I did unlock Rondo and pursue my dream of finally being able to play the turbo duo game that I did not want to shell out 400 bucks for on eBay. A lot of work went into this remake and a lot of younger people do not understand how important these games were to my generation of gamers.

Graphics= they are very crisp the remake is really nice to look at but the original is amazing considering for when it was made you can see were the snes version of Dracula x got it's artwork from.

Sound= all of the castlevania games have amazing sound tracks and these games do not disappoint.

Controls= very cruel and punishing to play as Richter and the back flip just leads to more deaths in my opinion. I am not saying it is bad but it is what it is and is what makes the game so hard.

Difficulty= fist pounding head banging anger punishing curled in a ball of hate for Japanese programmers to better kick you while you are down.Even with twice the life bar this game would still be hard. Memorizing patterns and executing perfect jumps is the only way to get past this game, glad it has a save feature.

Replay= All these games have different paths, something you screwed up and have to go back and complete. I would say it is very high.

Overall this game isn't for everyone. Only fans of the series and retro gamers can truly appreciate this punishing and rewarding game.
