End of an era, and beginning of a new one. Now in English!

User Rating: 8.5 | Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles PSP
Now, for the last decade or so, CV gamers have been literally begging for Rondo of Blood, the last of the great Classicvania's to be released in an area other than those glorious little islands called Japan. Well, 2007 came, and so did Dracula X Chronicles, bringing a rebuilt Rondo of Blood and the original, along with a slightly edited (for the worse) version of the legendary Symphony of the Night, and the greatest game ever created, PEKE.

Take note that I will be concentrating on the remake

Gameplay: 7/10
Suprisingly smooth for a classicvania. Hit boxes are a bit off, making some platforming parts a nightmare. Enemies are actually a threat at any given time, although some are just cheap, subweapon's can break the gameplay, though, however, misusing them will break the gameplay in the foes favor.

Graphics: 8/10
Detailed backgrounds, smooth animations, and virtually no lag. It would be quite a sight to be hold, if Richter/Maria didn't have such a low poly count.

Sound: 9/10
Fantastic. Excellent remixes of excellent tracks, along with several well done new tracks that just add to the awesome. The voices, however, are more than a bit over the top

Story: 7/10
Standard Belmont fights Dracula plot, with a slight deviation. He now kidnaps 4 girls, which Richter must save to reach the real final battle. Interesting change, but still...standard.

Replay: 9/10
2 characters to play as, 2 other full games, and a small subquest where you can collect all of the soundtracks in the game. You won't be putting down this game for months, and will keep on coming back.

Overall, one of the best packages in the entire history of the series. The only real flaw that I can cite are unneeded changes to SotN, when there are so many other needed changes. That said, SotN is still SotN, and great things are greater when portable. Kudo's to you, IGA. You did well.
