A good challenge, but only difficult for the lame!
For starters, the opening cinematic with the low german voice-over pulled me in, and the gameplay and great boss challenges kept me in. All of the great bosses are represented here, as is the great gothic atmosphere we've all loved since the 80's. The graphics are fantastic, there are unlockable characters, the sound is decent (but not perfect), and the challenge is right where a game should be.
Why are people crying because they have to play through a level? I don't know. I personally find it more satisfying to vanquish Dracula when it's a reasonable challenge.
Pick it up, it's a lot of fun. Oh, and you unlock Symphony of the NIght when you beat the game. (Arguably the best Castlevania of all time...)
