Simon Belmont's first adventure on the classic 8-bit system and what a great adventure it is.

User Rating: 9.5 | Akumajou Dracula NES
One of the greatest nes games and my 2nd favorite. It's a lot tougher than it's msx counterpart but they give you infinite continues so that helps to balance the difficulty out. Spent hours and hours playing this as a kid, and it's one of Konami's greatest works. The music's great, the graphics are great, the boss fights are great and everyone from medusa to dracula himself are in this game. All in all a fantastic game and when you've mastered the normal mode there's even a hard mode like the original mario bros. when you play the game after finishing it once. The enemies in the levels deal more damage and some levels like level 4 are considerably harder because the fishmen will actually pop up where your standing sometimes and you have to know where they're gonna come up and time your walking jus right. The Frankenstein and Death fights are some of the toughest fights in any nes game and take extreme precision and very good timing to do properly. (unless you know one of the subweapon tricks) One of Konami's greatest games and a true classic in every sense of the word.
