Castlevania is the first of its kind to give some action for the NES. Its gameplay style is very stunning and witty. It's hard to certain aspects of the game and somewhat pretentious, but it never lacks the action it's been preserving all these years.

I'm impressed because the NES still stands out today and Konami released this retro goodness in 1987. Most Castlevania enthusiasts will enjoy this game, some might not like it but will faire with its gameplay, graphics and storyline. NES and emulator owners will appreciate it for being in their string of NES titles for years to come.

Castlevania is one of those game where you sit back and relax in the darkness of your own living room with good 8-bit music, nice action, and great vampire-fighting gameplay. Need I say more about this game? Just play it.
