Even a year post having played Celeste.. after hearing about it through a post on a mental health reddit forum. It's visuals and beautiful message are tender and kind. This game illustrates what it is like to live with mental health challenges, and promotes the intention of offering love to the angry diminished parts of our psyche.
I try to recommend the game to anyone I know who is suffering in a similar way. The actual gameplay itself is smooth and just the right level of challenging. Matt Makes Games knocked it out of the park.
