This is the kind of game that could've been great. Outstanding graphics, deep physics that actually contribute to play, and best of all, free. Of course, you get what you pay for, and in this case you get an unplayable mess of lag. In all honesty I've never seen lag like this ever in my life. I have a nvidia 6800, 2 gigs of RAM, plenty of memory, and a 2.4 ghz (each) dual core processor with hyper threading. And I get literally single digit FPS (average 7). It's ridiculous, the thing plays like a slide-show. The major issue here is that it runs a huge amount of physics objects that practically require the PhysX card the game is promoting. Without this card all the objects go through your processor, which just can't handle it. I really tried to like this game, but until it can run at a reasonable fps there's just no way to play it. There's actually quite a bit to like here if you can run the thing. Problem is, "if you can run it" is probably less than 5% of the population.
I'll give Cellfactor: Revolution this much: it has a really kicking soundtrack playing at the main menus, and it has pretty good graphics. But ff you haven't got an Ageia card, don't bother. I have a reasonably good comp... Read Full Review
