Hack and slash fun, even if it does get repetitive and boring after the first hour or so.

Champions of Norrath is a game tied into the Everquest franchise. In this game, you play as a warrior of your choosing. Similar to Gauntlet, players can choose to be a male or female warrior, a male or female elf, a male or female wizard, well you get the idea. The game offers great visuals and it's game play is very similar to Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance (probably because both games were developed by the same development team). The voice acting is crap. Let's just be real. It's whack. The musical score is uneventful and bland. So, if you have a stereo, play your favorite CD when playing this game. The creatures come at you with a relentless fervor that makes it necessary to play this game with a friend. So, the multiplayer is a blessing because only hard core gamers would try this game alone. The boss battles aren't terribly difficult, but again, they are easier with friends playing with you. Essentially, this game is for the hardcore role playing game aficionados and the Everquest junkies. If you're looking for something a little more fast paced and fun, try waiting for the upcoming Gauntlet game.
