There are several pros that will appeal RPG player.
The game will deliver many hours of a high quality game play and large appealing environments. It is virtually whack and go fun. The story is linear and won’t confuse any player. The graphics are nice with many details, and pleasant sound. There are many interesting areas, such as temple, dungeons, desert with scorpions, and tropical islands. The players have choice of several characters, which can be equipped with weapons, and armory that could be easily found and purchases. The campaigns are extremely easy until players encounter boss fights. These fights will require a lot of patience, and tactical planning.
The cons could be divided in two categories. One is the game itself. There are numerous faults in the game program. Game freezes quite often especially after animation cut scene or boss fights. There are some logic mistakes. At the end of the game after rescuing souls, there is no way to get back to save Firiona. The portal did not work, and the player has to use game scrolls after painful repetition of the level to get to final part of the game. Another problem is the character development, which so important for other RPG games. There is not much interactions with other characters and the a few have very bad voice. The main character cannot carry too much if it is equipped and has couple tens arrows and a few potions. It is ridiculous. The gate scrolls are 1 pound and jewelry 0.2-1 pound. The potions are extremely heavy and unnecessary increase inventory weight. The biggest challenge lies in some of the boss fights that could be frustrating and time consuming, especially if the program freeze and the boss fights have to be retaken again. There should be more save points and allows to users to save their progress.
Overall, the game is good, but missed other aspects important for RPG games. If players are looking for BG, IWD, Gothic game types, the CoN is not one of the game for their taste.
