This game is pretty cool. I'd rent if I could though.

User Rating: 7.2 | Chibi Robo! GC
Okay, in Chibi-Robo you are a tiny robot that's sole purpose is to make people happy. You can do this by cleaning up around the house. Talking to people and finding out their wants and needs and doing things for them. Okay that sounded a little kinky, but this game is mostly good clean fun.

You basically get different implements, some terrestrial, some built-in. For instance you get a spoon to dig with, a toothbrush to clean with, a helicopter to float safely down with, and a few other tools.

The game is a little like the world of Toy Story where when people are not around, toys can talk and move. You get to know different toys and help them do things around the house for even more "Happy Points".

The objective of the game is to get so many happy points that you become the #1 rated Chibi Robo in the world, at which point your company that built you will upgrade you to "Super Chibi Robo".

Game play is pretty fun because you are so small it's neat to see the house from that perspective. Basically you spend most of your time trying to find access to different more difficult parts of the house. As you gain rank you get upgrade batteries that let you stay out longer, then you need to recharge for more Chibi-action.

The graphics are your standard GC fair. Nice and colorful, no huge textures to bind up the processor so it's nice and smooth gameplay. Art wise the graphics are very appealing and consistent.

Sound is neat but after a long play session it will get on your nerves. Some of the toys as well have really annoying voices.

Value on this product I don't think is really justified. They want $50 for this game. That's a ripoff in my opinion. The game is a nice healthy distraction but not something you are going to spend weeks and weeks on. Maybe a week or two tops.

I like robotics and innovative games so I gave this game a pretty good reviewer's tilt.

One thing I must warn you about this game however, is there is a subject of family problems and even divorce. In the story, the husband is basically a slacker, and the wife is so upset she is crying and contemplating divorce. I don't think this is a very good topic among children who may enjoy this game more than an adult due to it's cartoonish faire.
