Does life get any better? Only if you're playing Chrono Trigger.
Chrono Trigger is probably the best game that was put on the SNES. It's become very hard to find and for good reason. To me it seemed that it was always the underdog and was never given the spotlight it deserved.
Gameplay: It's not like most RPG's where you get random battles to level up. You can see your enemies and if you get with in their radius of battle you fight. You can use combo attacks that let you attack with more than one character at once do deal extra damage. Every person in the game has a special magic type that can not be changed. For example Chrono uses Lightning magic, Luca uses Fire and so organizing your party before a battle becomes important. The storyline is fun and it unfolds nicely and it has a great tale to tell. You start as a young boy who has to save a princess and you end up trying to save the world.
Graphics: I love 16 bit graphcis. You don't need good graphics to tell a story or to have a good game, but for their time they were some of the best you could see on the system.
Sound: The soundtrack is amazing. Every world, and every character has their own theme. When Frog joins your party, the music starts up, and you're ready to rock. The music is so emotional and it fits the time frame and feel of the world you're in.
Value: Luckily this game was released on the Playstation with Final Fantasy IV so it is a little easier to find. When Nintendo releases it's Revolution this will be a game that you truly need to download. For the money I don't think there's a better RPG.
