Easily the best RPG...period
User Rating: 10 | Chrono Trigger SNES
This game is old school. I was 10 at the time I played this great game when it was originally released in America in 95'. Even at a young age I enjoyed it immensely. This game has it all, great graphics (at the time), engaging storyline, great characters and a setting that can never be outdone. I have since played this game over and over and it never gets old. The emotion of this epic will even bring most of us gamers to tears (admit it). The story (without giving too much away) starts when you are awoken by your mother and you go visit a fair. From there you are teleported throughout time helping people, vanquishing foes and meeting new people. You can easily put as much time into this game as you do with new RPGs. Graphically this is one of the best games for the SNES. The character animation was amazing and even by today's standards they aren't bad. The settings are vivid and are not limited. Sound-wise it has a soundtrack that you will remember forever. When I hear some of the great background music it amplifies the mood throughout the game. This game set the precedent for which all other RPGs will be held too. It was a huge step for Squaresoft, which has created the best RPGs to date. I have been playing video games for the last 16 years and I have never loved a game more so. I urge anyone who hasn't played it to find it, on Playstation it was released with FF3 and you can find for a decent price on EBay. Kudos Squaresoft!
