The ultimate classic.

There is a lot to be said good about this game. It has a great story that can be player through many different ways. The visuals are wonderful even today. The music is also very good. The biggest thing that will draw you in is the wonderful story and the well developed characters. There are also multiple endings which adds to the replay value. However, what makes the game so much fun to play is the creative take on turn based battles. When your character gets their turn you can attack or use one of their skills or you can wait for one of your other character's turns and combine their abilities together. The game calls them double-techs and triple-techs, and they're powerful.
The downside to the game is that it is fairly easy. It wont take a lot of skill to make it all the way through the game. Although if you're smart enough to find all the best items you'll do better, they aren't required so there really isn't a huge downside for not finding them. One note though it that some items have a direct effect on the ending.
If you haven't played this game, you've really missed out. It has been rereleased on several different platforms now and is very widely available. People who were lucky enough to pick this game up when it first came out were treated to a real gem. Still, even after all the years this game holds up really well.
