Resident Evil for the Xbox.
Cold Fear's graphics for the most part are pretty solid and work well. The rocking of the boat and the high crashing waves look good and work well. Unfortunately the water doesn't fully look like water and the boat rocking only happens when players are on deck. This takes away something away from the overall gameplay that makes it lose some of its believability. In general Cold Fear lacks depth to things like the character models and even the settings to some extent but this is mild at best.
Cold Fear's gameplay for the most part is solid and works well. Players can aim using a similar sort of system found in Resident Evil 4 which is the over the shoulder aiming technique. Unfortunately players can only enter this mode when they press the left trigger because the rest of the time Cold Fear uses fixed camera positions. These positions are not always good and can piss players off quite a bit to the point in which they'll rely on the aiming system when they're moving for the most part. One of the interesting aspect of Cold Fear's gameplay is that in order to kill most enemies players must shot the head. This can be easier said than done sometimes because enemies like to run up to players to attack them making getting a head shot a little tricky at times.
Cold Fear's audio is ok but not the best. The guns don't really sound like guns and sound a little on the muffled side. The voice acting for the most part is ok but the main characters voice sound a little on the off side in that it doesn't like the actor is speaking properly. Other than that everything else sounds nicely done. The sound effects and music help to create a sense of urgency and even a little bit of fear at the same time.
Overall Cold Fear is a great game that is fairly good and one that players may want to take a look at.
