Cold Fear

After playing thru Resident Evil 4, I just could not get into Cold Fear for more than a couple sessions. Maybe like 4 hours max and then I gave up. It was just too much of a step backwards for me to get into. The old-style camera and no in-game map were a main reason for me to give up.

This might be good to be repackaged onto the DS or PSP like Resident Evil 1 was for the DS, but I couldn't see wasting anymore of my console time on it now in 2007 when so many next-gen games are out.

If you really like that old-school gameplay, then this might be for you. I just ran out of patience for it.

  Cold Fear manages to cover up its shortcomings quite well despite a seeming lack of inspiration and poor execution.
