We all know the tale of the tape and understand the genre. The refreshing thing is that deep down it does interest.

Cold Fear is basically a poor man's Resident Evil aboard a boat. The way the game plays, feels, and tells the story. I feel it should have been a spin-off actually as it follows RE's formula and perspective on zombie games.
The controls are a little confusing at first with the method of aiming. It takes some time but experienced 'shooter' players will be able to defeat the enemies quickly and save alot of ammo. The innovation is there and the game has alot of potential. If it had came out near PS2's launch I'm sure it would have cleared a higher score. It is definetly worth a rental and if you like RE games you cannot go wrong here.
