Cold Fear is a survival horror game that had the bad luck of being released close to the release of Resident Evil 4, but don't let that deter you. This game has some awesome visual effects in the beginning of the game when you're on a ship caught in the middle of a storm. The swaying ship and all the waves crashing into it was some of the most original graphical features I have seen in a game to date. But as for the gameplay itself, your typical survival horror shoot the bad guy stuff. There is no option to save where you like or even save spots, the game will automatically save itself at key points, which can hinder gameplay especially if you have to backtrack after hitting a save point. Cold Fear has some graphical prowess in the early goings, but as the game progresses it doesn't offer anything you haven't seen in previous survival horror games.
