Cold Fear is a lot better than it may seem, although it seems no-ones ever heard of it.
I like the addition of blood spraying on the screen when you hit zombies. It adds a nice touch. I was surprised to find that even though R rated games aren't allowed in australia and the box said MA, it still said 18+ on the disk.
The game isn't very creepy but it is still good. The zombies look modarately cool and you can kill them in pretty cool ways such as shooting their heads off, setting them on fire, blowing them up or knocking them to the ground and stamping on their heads.
I liked the fact that in this game instead of a crosshair it shows a laser on his gun. It makes the game more challenging and you feel more expertise when you do a really nice hit.
This game would probably be better, and creepier, if it was first person and if the zombies made some noise and jumped out at unpredictable points. So far the only creepy zombie games I've ever found are Thief: The Dark Project and Zombie Panic. Both of which are first person and have creepy zombie noises, revealing that this is obviously what makes zombies creepy.
Other than this Colf Fear Still is pretty good but i wouldn't pay more than 30 dollars for it if I were you.
