A team of coastguards board a nameless Russian Whaler lost in the storm.
Little do they know that a team of CIA operatives tried to do the same shortly, all of them ending up dead.
Within minutes, the entire coast guard team shares their fate, except one person, veteran USCG Tom Hansen.

Gameplay : The gameplay in Cold Fear is fairly good you can do your shooting and ducking and rolling. There are your basic weapons like the Pistol and Shotgun then there is your more unusual Spear Gun which emits a gas type thing that attracts the zombie things, which have a parasite in there head which you have to destroy to kill the enemy. The best part of the gameplay is the finishing moves that you can pull off by getting enough of your stamina gauge filled up. They differ from time to time.
Graphics : The Graphics in Cold fear are good, the lighting effects are satisfactory and the effects of the guns and explosions are pretty good. Be warned though, the swaying of the ship deck can make you feel sick. Thats realism for you. Getting Sea Sick while playing a game.
Sound : The sound is alright, nothing to good. The guns sound alright and the screams of the enemy are scary in a way. The best part about the sound is Marilyn Mansons Use Your Fist Not Your Mouth song suring the credits.
Value : Nahhhhhhh Not Much in this department. After you finish the game there is nothing to do.
All in all, Cold Fear offers some good thrills and good action. If you are looknig for a cheap horror game and like a good soundtrack then this game is just for you.
