Simple Puzzle game with really nice graphics

Columns is a simple puzzle game, all you have to do is align 3 or more of the same colour gems in a row or diagonally and they disappearing, score you points. The more you do this, the more difficult the game gets. The game speeds up taking you little time to move you're pieces and seeing how to place them on the screen.

In the Arcade mode, jumps you straight into the game which one or two players can play and the Original Mode allows the simple game with between 5 to 7 different colour gems depending on the difficulty you select. The more colours, the difficult the game is.

The other mode is the Magic gems, where you have to try to break the Magic jewel surround other gems, completing the session. Both modes are two players.

The visuals are nice, the simple Greek fantasy theme playing with expensive gems is charming and gives the game a feel for it. It does represent games in the 90s.

As the game only offers all that gameplay, it's an interesting puzzle game to own and to play though. You could even set the challenge of seeing how far into the game you could get into. This game is useful if you just want to sit down, relax and unwind from a long week of work.
