A big disappointment, HUGE, GINORMOUS disappointment. This isn't what Command & Conquer is supposed to be.

I played a good 8 hours of the game, and I have to say this is far different from any other C&C game. Its like Generals combined with Dawn of War with a twist of GDI/NOD. What amazes me is how EA Games could come up with garbage like this. Another thing that amazes me is that how quickly it was released after C&C 3 and C&C Red Alert 3. Talk about quality control, did they really believe fans of previous C&C games would want to play this?

Pros: It can install AND uninstall.
Music is great to an extent.

The Storyline follows through very well (but the story itself is rapid and flat). For Example, you do a NOD mission where you have to shoot down a GDI Ship, there is a GDI Misison where the ship has been shot down and you have to repair it.

But thats about it.

Cons: Well here we go...

Graphics are not very impressive.

Gameplay is totally different, you have 3 MCVs (one for Offense, Defense, and Support). You only get one MCV (so choose wisely). You also do not have to gather resources, rather the resources are created by capturing nodes (points around the map)-Simliar to Dawn of War games. You go through levels to unlock new (better) units by doing research (gathering) tiberium. Basically no Base Building or Harvesters (the Core Element of C&C Games).

Remember how great the Cut-scenes of the Previous C&C games with B-list celebrities? Well there aren't any in this game (unless you consider Joe Kucan as B-list Celeb).

The Storyline is relatively flat, with idiotic dramatic moments that make me feel awkward.

Conclusion: This game should be not the end of the series (because it doesn't do any Justice or pays Homage to the Old C&C games)-Although now EA Games can't really make it worse either. This is a completely revamped, overhauled game, that should not bear Command & Conquer on the title.

Props to EA Games for building and publishing (releasing) such a piece of garbage without any creativity, but rather copy the game mechanics from somewhere else (Dawn of War) and put it on as the series finale.

Remember where EA Games pulled the Tiberium game (FPS-Shooter) due to quality control reasons? This game should've been pulled too.

Did EA do any kind of Market Research? Is this want the majority of C&C fans want, a Dawn of War type game?

Don't buy this garbage, or at least wait until it goes down to 10 dollars or 5 dollars, at the BLOWOUT Software Sale shelf and then buy it. (But even then its not money well spent).

RIP Command & Conquer, now I'm definitely looking forward to Starcraft II

EDIT**

I do realize that developers were trying to appeal to the more Multiplayer based game (due to having a small market of multplayer customers), but remember what works for multiplayer does not work for singleplayer. The least they could do was keep original gameplay intact for both Single and Multi-player, and add a new feature (gameplay) for Multiplayer with this type of Dawn of War gameplay called Dawn of War: Tiberium Edition?

(I am not going to review/rate the game based on it's DRM, but the DRM -to be honest- is ridiculous... you need a internet connection in order to play)
