A unique RTS that excels over its competitors in every way! Time for some Red Alert Comrade!

Now I don't even know whether this is better than Command and Conquer 3 or not. They are both Classics!

Although there's no seriousness in Red Alert 3, but you'll love Red Alert 3 more and more from the second you start.

Once again I never played the other red alerts and this one is just amazing for a newcomer like me. I picked up the premiers edition for $120 AUD and its well worth it. The edition included a steel box, a bonus video disc, music cd and the game of course. Also included is a complete version of Red Alert 2.

Unlike C&C 3 Tiberium Wars, Red Alert 3 has beautiful animated or if you like, cartoony graphics with a faster paced gameplay which you don't need a beasty pc to run it with. I played through the entire campaign with everything set to max except for shaders and water quality to medium on my Acer Aspire 6920G.

Red Alert 3 has the most creative and unique units out of all the RTS games. There's 'Attack Dogs' and 'Attack Bears' that swim on water and infantry that don't. A lot of the vehicles are amphibious and the Imperial has vehicles that transform into air units. The only problems are units in Red Alert 3 are quite imbalanced in my opinion. Each race has both an offensive and defensive super weapon and many special abilities. This adds many more strategic elements to the game making it far more impressive than other RTS. Very comical game.

Another unique element in Red Alert is whether you can choose to use naval units or ground units when a map is half water and land. This is something you don't find in highly rated RTS like Starcraft and Warcraft.

Like C&C 3, the economy is very important. The only currency is ore and occasionally building power plants. You only need to build a refinery next to the ore mine and your set to go. The key is boosting your economy and disrupting your enemies. The more ore mines you secure the faster your money increases however it's risky.

Red Alert 3 is strongly damage oriented. A group of anti vehicles infantry can tear your base apart in a matter of seconds if all your units are on the other side of the map, therefore defeating you. This is both a positive and negative side. I personally don't mind.

The exhilarating campaign is just pure fun which you will get some laughs from the amazing cinematics, unit descriptions and the creativeness of the units in general. The cast put a great incentive to watch the cinematics. You'll definitely enjoy every second of the campaign as it is so amazing.

One thing worth mentioning is the music. There are only few games where there's 'Crysis' graphics, awesome gameplay and cool music. Many game soundtracks aren't worth downloading or spending an extra $10 for the bonus music cd.

Overall Red Alert 3 is a stunning achievement in every aspect. Currently this and C&C 3 have by far the best graphics for RTS games. If you love RTS and good graphics you cannot overlook Red Alert 3. If there's any more Premier Edition I strongly recommend you get that.
