Condemned- criminal origins Xbox 360 review

Condemned is an by all means a psychophysical adventure into the realm of your own mind this game uses the essence of suspense to keep you glued to your seat it goes beyond the need to just use a gun to solve your problems no this game allows you to utilise weapons from the environment for starters a loose pipe or plank of wood in this game can become a crime fighting tool but this game doesn't just stop there, this game includes a Csi theme as you have to uncover clues and information with your arsenal of forensic tools eg blood stains possibly leading you to believe the person had been dragged this game goes beyond the perception of what a game should be it doesn't have the crude motivation of some of its counterparts but has a solid story and foundation on which it builds throughout the game constantly building the creepy atmosphere.

The game focuses on the character of SCU investigator Ethan Thomas and his partner Rosa, a forensics investigator the game focuses on Ethan's attempt to track down serial killer X this game does this well by making the hunt for the killer more illusive rather than direct confrontations with the killer we are given clues to the person being in the area making the atmosphere of the game deeper and more involving for the player

The graphics used in this game are outstanding every detail seems refined to a point but still leaves some gritty flaws to make the game edgy. one problem with this game is the fact that the combat can sometimes become repetitive with the use of environmental weapons as they all seem to have the same motion and all seem to have annoying expiry dates when they will just brake but in many ways makes the search for weapons more exciting making the game more tactical rather than just playing through with a single weapon.

Condemned has in a sense cornered the market with this game as no game to date has attempted such an outlandish method of finding information in games this makes the game unique and worth playing through, this game is a must have for anyone who enjoys classic thrillers.
