While I enjoyed FullSpectrum Warrior and Rainbow Six: Raven Shield, the one problem I had with both games was that I had to control a squad of four men as if they were one. So if I had two squads, it was really like controlling only two men. This is where the "Conflict" games distinguish themselves. Beginning with "Return to Desert Storm" (previous version was crap) and now "Global Terror," you get to control a squad of four men -- controlling EACH of the four men. Sure, you can have one man lead -- any man -- while the others follow and take orders from him, but any man can lead and give orders. The real fun is jumping from man to man and leapfrogging your squad through enemy territoy and/or fire. Each man has a specialty (sniper, demolitions, heavy arms) so there are reasons to jump from man to man. I will admit that some interaction with the world sucks -- can't smash through a wooden gate with a jeep or blast the gate with machine guns. But on one mission I was looking down on a compound of baddies and figured I'd toss a grenade to even the odds. To my surprse, I set off a chain reaction and blasted them all. In the end, if you like squad games that will challange you, in spite of some minor lows, get this game. The graphics are pretty good too.
