Definitely nothing like the previous games. Although I still cant help but feel like Im fighting Iraqis for some reason.

When I first played Conflict Desert Storm on my Cube, I was amazed. This game had won me over. It was only until later that when I played Conflict Vietnam that I had my doubts. Now that Ive played Conflict Global Terror, I realize that there was nothing really special about this series at all.

The gameplay is still the original formula of the series. With the inclusions of flashbang grenades and night/thermal vision goggles. But maybe thats what hinders it a little. In todays gaming world, you can only take a concept so far before people and their short attention spans stop wanting it. Like I said, I couldnt help but feel as though I were still fighting middle-eaterners even though this takes place in South America. In the first game, it was shoot somebody two or three times, and they would go down easy. Now you have to shoot at them and waste an entire clip and they will still not go down. The aiming system has obviously been toyed with since Vietnam.

The graphics look the same as they were on the Gamecube and as they did in Vietnam also. Grasses tall enough for cover (that dont really work), enemies that look like cubes put together. Explosions that wouldnt scare a squirrel.

Voice acting that sounds a little too scripted. I like the fact though, that you can play your own music in the game. Although turning down the sound effects volume and turning up the music is not a good idea for beginners. Dont get too distracted by whats playing because there is always something to shoot at on screen.

Ive only played this game for about an hour or so and I was almost bored to tears because of it. there are things to pick up, people to shoot, objectives to complete. Thats it.

Its a little odd saying this: but this game plays more like a Conflict game than a counter terrorist game. Maybe its good, maybe its bad. I like it. But I wouldnt pay to keep it. Thats why I rented first. I suggest you do the same.
