In three words, frustrating, frustrating, frustrating. Although the game looks really good, it is not much fun to play.

I'll start with the positive first, this game looks really nice. Unfortunately, that's where the nice part of the game ends. The multi-player may be fine, but I don't have Live, so that won't be part of the review. It would have been nice to have an offline multi-player though. I tried really hard to find this game enjoyable, especially since I've been wanting to play it since the N64 days. I'm pretty glad I didn't buy it then either. The control mechanics were simply horrible. Your main weapon is baseball bat, which is fine, except you can only hit baddies once and retreat before the spikes come out of their shells. This wouldn't be bad if you only had to hit them 2-3 times max, but it took 6-7 hits to kill them. I think this took way too long! And don't get me started on the horrible camera. The platforming was atrocious at best. It helps if you don't have to guess where you are jumping to. My second gripe is there was no way to figure out where you should head next. In most games you can at least talk to someone who at a minimum will point you in the right direction. With a loading screen every five minutes, you really don't want to wander aimlessly and explore too much. Especially with a loading screen lasting 2 minutes or so. Perhaps Nintendo was right, we don't want load times... I digress. Finally, the voice acting. Although it wasn't necessarily bad, Conker has a bad lisp. I ended up reading more of the story than hearing it. By no means am I saying reading the story is inherently bad, but the voice acting is supposed to be there in place of it. Why spend money on an aspect of the game that really can't be used?? They could have spent the money on building a port that was fun to play.
