Mama's 2nd appearence on the Wii gets everything right.

4 games into the series, one would suspect that the indefatigable Mama may be running out of recipes. Think again.

Cooking Mama: World Kitchen breathes new life into Mama's kitchen, and basically sums up what a transfer to the Wii should be.

1st of all, World Kitchen features new 3D graphics and a 3rd person camera angle, which was a pleasant and much needed update. For the first time, you can create your very own avatar, with whom you will cook dishes and take Mama's advice. New friends, old friends, Papa, and Max all make appearances in this game, and you quickly begin to feel like a part of the family.

While the CM series is notorious for hit-or-miss controls, World Kitchen is spot on, and the new view of the action makes the tasks easier to grasp. Nonetheless, everything will still requires some getting used to.

Everything you'd ever want out of a Cooking Mama game (or, just a cooking game, for that matter) is hear, and while some would say that the game's feats are shallow, I think that preparing exotic food for your friends has never been more rewarding.
